A bulk load that should take seconds took eight minutes, waiting on a timeout for every row
When a rule added rows of its own during a save — the mandatory parties on a customs entry, for instance — checking each added row went back to the database for its parents on a second connection, which sat behind the save's own locks until a thirty-second timeout expired, once per row. Replacing two products through Data Intake took over eight minutes. The save now hands the validators the parent rows it already holds, so the added rows are checked immediately.
