Three ways to run it.
On-prem / air-gapped
You run the platform on your own infrastructure. Full sovereignty: your hardware, your network, your keys. The admin client also packages as a desktop app for restricted and disconnected networks. Platform upgrades are delivered as part of the license, not as a re-implementation project.
Regulated industries, data-residency requirements, and anyone whose security review starts with the network diagram.
Managed, in your cloud
We operate the platform inside your own AWS, Azure, or GCP account: deployment, patching, upgrades, monitoring, backup verification, and the background services. Two invoices, deliberately. Our platform fee, and your cloud bill at cost, so you keep your enterprise-agreement discounts and your data never sits in our tenancy.
Teams that want the platform without hiring for its operations, but won't hand their data to a vendor's SaaS.
Start managed, take it over
It's the same platform on the same database either way, so the transition is an operations hand-off, not a migration. Start managed to move fast, then bring operations in-house when your team is ready. Or the reverse, if priorities change.
Companies that don't want a deployment decision made in year one to bind them in year five.
No multi-tenant vendor SaaS. On purpose.
We don't run a shared cloud where your data sits in our tenancy next to other customers'. For the buyers this platform is built for, that model creates the exact sovereignty and exposure questions Forge exists to eliminate. If your requirement is a credit card and a signup page, we're the wrong tool. If your requirement is passing a security review with your data under your control, this is the shape that passes it.
